Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.

Here we have tried to answer the most common questions people may have.

If you do not find the answer to your question here, please contact us in writing or by telephoning the Parish Office during office hours.

Can I ask for a special Mass to be offered for my own intentions ?

Yes - please contact the Parish Office to ask about this. We will try to have the Mass offered on the day you specify, but we cannot guarantee this as we may have already received another request for that day.

Can I arrange for my child to be baptised at St Theresa’s ?

Parents bringing children for Baptism should be practising Catholics and will need to attend a preparation course.

These are held four times a year. Please discuss this first with the Priest after Sunday Mass.

Can I have my Wedding at St Theresa’s ?

We would love to help you - please contact the Parish Office to ask about this.

The Diocese requires six months notice of intention to marry and attendance at a marriage preparation course. These are held twice a year on Saturday mornings in Brighton ( usually early and late spring)

Are there Ecumenical Services held at St Theresa’s with other local Christian churches.

Yes - the Catholic Church is very keen to join with other local Christians to celebrate our faith.

Services are held regularly during the year at the various centres of worship. For more information please see our Services page or obtain a copy of the Parish Newsletter from the Church or the Parish Office.
